MAMA’S HOUSE INFORMATION

Mama’s House, is under the umbrella of MYSELF, Inc. (Making Youths Successful Employing Lifetime Formulas) a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization formed in 1998 to provide an ongoing series of self empowerment seminars for disadvantage at risk youths; and MAMA (Making A Major Adjustment) a program to assist battered women, children and teens.

Mama’s House is located inside of www.mamahelpme.org not registered as a website and only approved applications allowed inside of Mama’s House making it a private online community. People who have experienced a form of domestic violence, i.e. mentally, physically, emotionally or financially, need help, and are ready to make a change find Mama’s House easier to admit they are in trouble. All services are free, including relocation if you qualify.

The Warning List
This list identifies a series of behaviors typically demonstrated by batters and potential batters. The list can help you recognize if you or someone you know is in a violent relationship. Check off those behaviors that apply to the relationship, the more checks on the page, the more dangerous the situation maybe.

Educational information shows statistics on Domestic Violence, focusing on women, teenagers, children and general information.

Personalized Escape Plan (P.E.P.)
A plan designed for your abusive situation with a solution to get you out safely.

Relocation Services
Free relocation services for those who are ready to make a change and would like assistance in moving to a new safe location, must have approved application.

Mama’s Blog
A blog consisting of topics from a training series designed to build self-esteem, self-awareness and self-respect. Other topics maybe suggested by the community.

All participants are required to fill out an application for Mama’s House. Due to the privacy and safety of others, all information is confidential and verified for approval.

Donations, all of our services are free even relocation, victims of domestic violence usually leave with whatever clothes they have on their backs. They need bus, train or airline tickets, gift cards for clothing, calling cards or throw away cell phones and pre-paid debit cards for food and other emergencies.

Mama’s House, designed to help victims of domestic violence by providing information, education, personalized safety plans, relocation services and strategically planning to provide long-term safety. Utilizing the blueprint of Harriet Tubman’s Underground Railroad plus the creativity of Mission Impossible wrapped in the Twenty-First Century Technology, our victims will be able to take back control of their lives, build self-esteem, make wiser choices and start living a happy and successful life.
